Impactful stories create a empathetic view of the less understood. Gives ample space for the unheard voices without adding much drama and analytical perspective. 

Most of the stories unravel as a Monologue and especially as a Diary of Monologues providing us a intriguing read also at times exhausting. Days and nights of the protoganists unravel before us in a sedentary fashion. End of each story reader is fully acclimatized to the surroundings of the protoganists and have a complete rounded view of the protoganists psyche. Stories suspend the analytical judgment on the less understood and avoid drama. Through these stories one feels the fringe have been heard in a neutral and non judgemental fashion.

Wild goat bleats reminding us of the predicament of unheard voices. Tender coconut juxtapose the endless vagaries of psychological knots mind prepares, Pigman rests it's shoulders on Poor man's Soliloquy. Invisible forests, biggest story of all, unravel the forests of words infront of us carrying the pain of indescribable loneliness of the protagonist. Title Story's ending was very poignant, reflects on the centuries of Mental journey mankind has made.

பிருதிவிராஜனின் குதிரை

கடந்து விட்ட பழையன குறித்த வியப்பு, பெருமை, ஏக்கம் வெளிப்படும் அழகியல் அமைந்த கதைகள் இந்த தொகுப்பில் உள்ளன. 

இந்தியாவை ஆங்கிலேயர்கள் விட்டு சென்று, ஜமீன்தார்கள் விட்டும் விடாமலும் இருந்து கொண்டிருந்த கால கட்டத்தில் அமைந்த கதைகள் இவை.

தனிப்பட்ட ஆசை உணர்வுகள் ஏக்கம் குறித்த அளவில் அமைந்த கதைகள் வாசிக்க சுவாரஸ்யமாக இருந்தாலும் அவை மேலதிகமாக நினைவு கூரத்தக்கதாக இல்லை. 

அரசியல் தளத்தில் அமைந்த கதைகளில் இந்தியாவில் அன்று நிலவி வந்த மன்னராட்சியும் இல்லாத மக்களாட்சியும் அமையாத குழப்பமான சூழ்நிலை பதிவாகியிருக்கிறது. ஆனால் குறிப்பிடத்தக்க கதைகளாக அமையவில்லை. 

இப்பதிவினை எழுத தூண்டுதலாக அமைந்த கதைகள் நான்கு , புத்தக தலைப்பு கதையான "பிருதிவிராஜனின் குதிரை" , நீரில் மூழ்கிய பள்ளத்தாக்கு", "நிர்வாணம்" மற்றும் "முதலையின் மனைவி" ஆகிய கதைகளே அவை.

நான்கு கதைகளுமே வேறு வேறு தளங்களில் மிகவும் நன்றாக அமைந்து விட்ட கதைகள் - கிட்டத்தட்ட படிமங்களாகவே நினைவு கொள்ளும் படி அமைந்து விட்ட கதைகள். 

பழையது குறித்து பல்வேறு பரிணாமங்களை "பிருதிவிராஜனின் குதிரை" மிக கச்சிதமாக தொட்டு செல்கிறது. அடைத்து வைக்கப்பட்ட ஏக்கமும் பெருமிதமும் கதையின் மைய சரடு.

நீரில் மூழ்கிய பள்ளத்தாக்கு - நவீன இந்தியாவின் பொருளாதார சுய சார்பு வளர்ச்சி பாதையின் துவக்கத்தில் நடந்த கதை, வளர்ச்சி கொண்டு வரும் மாற்றங்கள் குறித்த பல இடங்களை தொட்டு செல்லும் கதை.

"நிர்வாணம்" கதை நம் இந்திய இறை நம்பிக்கையின் ஊற்றையும் தற்செயல் நிகழ்வுகளையும் நுட்பமாக இணைக்கும் கதை.

"முதலையின் மனைவி" கதை மேலை கீழை வாழ்க்கை பார்வைகளை குறித்த நாட்டார் கதைகளின் சாயல் கொண்ட கதை.

நான்கு கதைகளும் எளிதில் நினைவில் கொள்ளத்தக்கவை.இன்னொருவருக்கு திரும்ப கூறுகையில் மனதிற்கு மகிழ்ச்சியையும் உவகையையும் அளிப்பவை.

பெரும்பாலான கதைகளில், கதை மாந்தர்கள் தெய்வமாக பேயாக மிருகமாக உருமாற்றம் அடைவதும், நடந்த நிகழ்வுகள், நிகழாத பிரமைகள் மற்றும் கனவுகள் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று இணைவதும் கதையின் மையப் புள்ளிக்கு வலு சேர்க்கின்றன.

இந்த சஞ்சலங்களுக்கு அப்பால் உள்ள உலகில் இருவர் நாவலில் இடம் பெறுகின்றனர். ஒரு வேளை அவ்விருவரும் தான் இந்தியா என்றவுடன் மனதில் தோன்றும் படிமங்களாக நாம் கருத வாய்ப்புள்ளவர்கள். சளைக்காத கிருஹஸ்தனும் சிரித்துக் கொண்டே இருக்கும் சந்நியாசியுமே அவ்விருவர்கள்.

அக்கரை சேர பணம் அவசியம் என்பது ஒருவாறு புரிந்து தான் இருக்கிறது, இடையில் வரும் சஞ்சலங்களும் லட்சியங்களும் தீர்வுகளும் பணம் குறித்து அறிந்து கொள்ள உதவுகின்றன.

தனி மனிதன் தொடங்கி மகா பெரிய நாடுகள் வரை பொத்தி பதுக்கி வைக்கப்படும் பணம் அதன் போக்கில் இன்னொரு வழி கண்டு தண்ணீராக ஓடுவதை நாம் பார்த்துக்கொண்டே வருகிறோம். 

பணம் பற்றிய நம் தத்துவ விசாரங்கள் சற்று கலங்கலாகவே இருக்கிறது, பணம் என்றவுடன் நம் மனதில் தோன்றுவது நமது உடனடி தேவைகள், நமது கடன்கள், கூடவே பணம் இருந்தால் நாம் செய்திருக்க கூடிய உதவிகள், பணம் இன்றி நாம் முழுங்கிய அவமானங்கள், பணம் பெற்று தரும் வசதிகள், பணம் என்ற விஷயம் கால ஓட்டத்தில் ஆளுமையாகவோ சொத்தாகவோ பொறுப்பாகவோ அக்கறையாகவோ அன்பாகவோ வெளிப்பட கூடிய பகல் கனவு சாத்தியங்கள், இவை அனைத்தும் ஒன்றோடு ஒன்று முண்டியடித்து நம் எண்ணங்களை பாதிப்பதால் நம் விசாரம் கலங்கலில் முடிகிறது.

பணம் ஈட்ட நாம் மேற்கொள்ளும் முயற்சிகள் பல நேரங்களில் சஞ்சல நிழல்களை தோற்றுவிக்கும் - அப்படியான ஒரு சஞ்சலத்தின் கோட்டு வரைபடம் இந்த குறுநாவல். சஞ்சலம் தீரும் விதமே நாவலின் இறுதிப் புள்ளி. 

நாயகனின் மன சஞ்சலத்தில் தொடங்கி எண்ண கலங்கலின் வழி நாம் பயணித்து இறுதியாக அவரது சஞ்சலம் தீரும்படியாக நாவல் முடிகிறது. சஞ்சலம் உதிர்ந்து தீரும் விதம் வாசகனுக்கு ஏற்க முடியாத ஒன்றாக இருக்கலாம் ஆனால் அவற்றில் இருக்கும் உண்மை கசப்பாகவே இருக்கிறது. நாயகன் மட்டுமல்ல வாசகர்களாகிய நாமும் இவ்வகை தீர்வுகளை சில நேரங்களில் அடைந்திருப்பதே நாம் உணரும் கசப்பிற்கு முக்கியமான காரணம்.

மனதில் நிற்கும் இணை கதைகளே காசியின் மொத்த விரிவை நமக்குக் காட்டி தருகிறது. முக்தி பவனின் மேலாளர் ஆகும் ஓம் பிரகாஷ், காசியின் நவீன கால ராஜாவாகும் ராம்லால், புத்தக சுவர்களிடையே தன் வாழ்வை அமைத்துக் கொண்ட நூலகர் சந்திரமௌலி , ஆராய்ச்சியாளர் சுமிதா இவர்களின் இணை கதைகள் என்றும் உள்ள காசியின் நவீன முகங்களாக இந்த நாவலில் அமைந்துள்ளன.

திவோதமன் கதையும் காசிராஜனின் கதைகளும் புராண காசியின் தெய்வக்கதைகளும் காமக்கதைகளும் நாவலுக்கு அழகு சேர்க்கின்றன.

காசு கஞ்சி குப்பாயம் கள் காமம் என பிரித்து எழுதப்பட்ட சுயசரிதை நினைவு குறிப்புகள். இவ்வாறு பிரித்து இருப்பது நல்லது என்று படுகிறது . ஒன்றின் வழி இன்னொன்று வரும் என்றாலும் அடிப்படையில் இவை வெவ்வேறானவை, ஒன்றை இன்னொன்று நிரப்ப முயன்றாலும் நிரம்பாத ஒன்று நிரம்பாது நிற்கும்.

-மிக குறைவான தேவைகளுடன் நாம் வாழ்ந்து விட முடியும், நாம் செய்ய நினைக்கும் செயலின் ஊக்கத்தில்  முழுகியிருப்பது மட்டுமே நாம் செய்ய வேண்டியது - ஏனையவை காலத்தின் கைகளில் இருக்கும்.கிடைத்த அறைகளில் தங்கி எழுதி கொண்டிருக்கும் எம் டி யின் சித்திரம் என்றும் மனதில் நிற்கும்.
